River Forest, Illinois will co-exhibit the Mantis Operator Interface at the Pack Expo trade show McCormick Place, Chicago booth  S-2440   (Weber Marking Systems, Inc.)  The Mantis Operator Interface is a stand alone bar code verifier kit that performs go / no go print quality analysis as well as match code functions for 100% unattended bar code verification.  As an accessory to a complete print on demand system, the Mantis bar code verifier adds value by preventing packaging errors.

The Mantis Operator Interface, introduced in 2002, is installed in many diverse applications in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, paperboard, logistics and material handling industries.  With dozens of units installed, the Mantis is a field tested and proven method for 100% unattended verification of the readability and correctness of machine readable symbols such as bar codes.

Software version 2.0 will be on display.  Version 2.0 incorporates as a standard, two user programmable, relay outputs.  The two relays are password protected, assignable to no-reads, no-match or other user definable events.  Both relays are programmable for a delay and duration.  The relays can supply 24v to external devices such as diverters, conveyor stops and PLC inputs.
