Mantis Operator Interface Sorts Freight

A national retail chain has placed the Mantis Operator Interface into use as an inexpensive divert controller.  Paired with an overhead omni-directional scanner, the Mantis receives bar code data for each carton. 

The first 3 digits of the bar code scanned is a store number.  A look up table loaded in non-volatile memory the Mantis Operator Interface contains a look up table of three digit store numbers and a divert or no-divert designation.  The Mantis Operator Interface extracts the three digit store number from the bar code on the carton and determines if the carton should pass or be diverted.  From the Mantis Operator Interface main menu, store numbers in the look up table may be added, deleted or divert status changed.

The Mantis Operator Interface, introduced in 2002, is installed in many diverse applications in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and material handling industries.  With dozens of units installed, the Mantis Operator Interface is a field tested and proven method for 100% unattended verification of the readability and correctness of machine readable symbols such as bar codes.
